Leema Acoustics has officially released the first products from its highly anticipated Quantum range. The Neutron preamp and Graviton power amp, designed and crafted in the Welshpool factory in Powys, Wales, are the first additions to the brand’s Quantum collection, the first all-new range from the brand in more than a decade.
The line draws inspiration from Leema Acoustics' flagship Constellation series but takes a more simplified and cost-effective approach.
This new line focuses on affordability without compromising on component quality, offering hi-fi enthusiasts a chance to experience the brand's expertise at a more accessible price point.
Co-founder Lee Taylor highlights the Quantum range's design philosophy, stating, "Quantum takes much of the Leema Acoustics' Constellation product design, yet simplified to meet a more affordable price point. No compromises have been made where it really counts."
The Quantum range is available in brushed black or silver finishes, and sports solid aluminium precision-machined front panels and control dials.
The Neutron DAC/Preamp is positioned as a versatile system hub, with 13 audio inputs providing system builders with exceptional flexibility. Inputs include four analogue stereo pairs, XLR, a trio of optical digital audio, and three coaxial digital audio, plus USB. There’s also a switchable MM/MC phono stage and ESS 24-bit/192 kHz USB DAC. Outputs, including fixed-level record, two subwoofer outputs, dedicated headphone amplifier, and a 12 V trigger for system integration.
The partnering Graviton stereo power amp boasts one of the largest toroidal power supplies seen at its price point. A Class A/B design, the amp offers 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms and there’s the option of bi-wiring and bi-amping configurations.
The Neutron and Graviton are available for individual purchase at £1,500 each. However, audio enthusiasts can experience the synergy of both at a reduced cost of £2,800 when purchased together.
