Monitor Audio has launched its Bronze Series 7G loudspeakers, the latest evolution of the brand’s long-running entry-level loudspeaker line. The new collection, which includes five speaker models, boasts a complete overhaul of acoustic engineering and cabinet design, offering significant improvements over the previous Bronze 6G generation.
Designed to serve as a gateway into the world of premium high-fidelity sound, the Bronze 7G Series has been developed under the brand’s Transparent Design Philosophy, an R&D approach that emphasises balanced design and technology integration. It’s aimed equally at hi-fi enthusiasts and home cinema customers, and slots neatly into both two-channel and multi-speaker configurations.
The Bronze 7G lineup comprises five core models: the flagship Bronze 300 7G floorstanding speaker, the compact Bronze 50 bookshelf, a new On-Wall speaker variant, a centre channel, and the Dolby Atmos-enabled Bronze AMS. All share a unified acoustic and design language, engineered for sonic consistency and system building.
At the heart of each loudspeaker is a 6-inch Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium (C-CAM) bass or bass-midrange driver, paired with an all-new version of Monitor Audio’s signature Gold Dome tweeter. These updated drive units benefit from larger voice coils and upgraded motor systems, with a clear focus on lowering distortion and improving sensitivity.
One of the defining characteristics of the new Bronze Series is its bespoke crossover design, tuned through extensive critical listening and measurement. High-grade components have been employed to optimise signal transfer and ensure tonal balance across the lineup.
In a market where cost-driven compromises are common, the 7G series stands out for its use of real wood and plywood front baffles. This deliberate material choice claims improved cabinet rigidity and better acoustic performance. These are finished in a choice of Satin Black, Satin White, or a contemporary Walnut veneer, accented by satin-painted baffles.
Monitor Audio’s through-bolt driver mounting system, a technique derived from its higher-end ranges, is retained. This reduces unwanted driver resonance and enhances cabinet structural integrity, while also contributing to a clean visual design.
Of particular note is the introduction of the Bronze On-Wall 7G, a first for the series. Designed for flexible placement in stereo and surround configurations, it broadens installation options for integrators working in challenging spaces.
The Bronze 7G speakers have been voiced to work in harmony with Monitor Audio’s new Vestra subwoofers. Available in 10-, 12-, and 15-inch models, Vestra subwoofers were co-developed alongside Bronze 7G and share similar industrial design cues, including matching finishes.
