American Hi-Fi outfit Klipsch has launched two new wireless speakers, The Nines and The Sevens. The numerical newbies join The Fives, in Klipsch’s lineup of Heritage Wireless series of speakers.
The new models utilise real wood veneer and tactile metal switches and knobs, for a premium retro aesthetic that blends the design legacy of Paul W. Klipsch with cutting-edge audio technologies.
The Sevens have a 200W power plant, while The Nines boast 240W. Both models offer a raft of connectivity options. Bluetooth is standard, but there’s also HDMI with ARC allowing the speakers to be used as a TV sound upgrade, providing a welcome alternative to the traditional soundbar.
There are also digital optical, analogue RCA, and USB inputs as well as a subwoofer output. A bi-amping design is said to improve clarity. The monitors support 192kHz / 24-bit decoding for high-resolution audio.
Both The Nines and The Sevens feature 25.mm titanium tweeters on Tractrix horns. The Nines employ an all-new 203mm long-throw high excursion composite cone woofer, while the mid-sized Sevens use a 165mm long-throw woofer.
The Klipsch Connect App allows users to customise EQ and subwoofer volume settings, manage dynamic bass and listening modes, and handle over-the-air firmware upgrades. There’s a choice of either walnut or black veneer.
Klipsch The Nines retail for £1,849 while The Sevens are priced at £1,499.00. Distribution is via Henley Audio.
