Hisense has expanded its U7K Mini LED TV line-up with a competitively priced 100-inch model. The supersized set hopes to gain a lead over puny 98-inch rivals, boasting a comprehensive feature specification that makes it an attractive option for media room duties.

The £4,999 100U7K supports Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive HDR standards, and claims IMAX Enhanced certification.

There’s also support for Dolby Atmos audio, plus DTS Virtual X. The set has a 2.1 audio system, comprising a built-in subwoofer augmenting a pair of downward firing stereo speakers.

The 100-inch model is 4k 120HZ playback ready, for use with High Frame Rate capable games consoles, although integrators should note that only two of its four HDMI inputs are enabled, and one of those is the designated eARC connection.

More unusually, the set features a 144Hz Game Pro Mode, which will be attractive for PC gamers. The screen automatically activates the mode when it detects a gaming connection through ALLM.

A dedicated Game Bar menu groups together relevant game settings for quick access.

The set runs Hisense’s own Vidaa smart TV platform, which has access to a wide selection of streaming services, including Netflix, prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV+.

Matthew Glynn, Product Marketing Manager at Hisense UK, said: “We’re starting to see an increase in demand for larger-scale models, as people look to renovate their homes and make more of their living spaces and we’re confident that the 100U7K will make a statement in any living room across the nation.”

The 100-inch U7K joins an already extensive line-up of screens, covering 55-, 65-, 75-, and 85-models.
