Hisense is expanding its projection range with the ultra short throw PX1- PRO, a laser light model. Unlike the brand’s previous Laser TV offerings, this does not come with a bundled screen.
The PX1-PRO TriChroma laser engine claims to deliver 107 per cent of the BT.2020 colour space, while Digital Lens Focus technology is used to automatically optimise 4k images from 90 to 130 inches.
The PX1-PRO also offers a Filmmaker Mode preset as well as Dolby Vision HDR support and has a 30-watt Dolby Atmos enabled sound system built-in, plus an Auto Low Latency mode, making it ideal for movie nights and gaming. Brightness is rated at 2200 lumens.
The PX1-Pro is Control4 compatible, for inclusion in smart home control systems.
In addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, there’s also two 4k 60Hz HDMI inputs, one of which is eARC enabled, if you want to plumb the projector into a full-blown sound solution. The PX1-Pro is also compatible with wireless WISA wireless multi-channel sound systems.
Intriguingly, while smart, this new model does not utilise Hisense’s own Vidaa smart TV platform. Instead the brand has turned to Android TV for this model. In addition to working with Google Assistant, it’s Alexa friendly.
The projector also boasts Low Blue Light Technology, a built-in eye-protection function said to reduce emissions of harmful lights to protect eye fatigue. Light source lifespan is said to be 25,000 hours.
The PX1-Pro retails for £2,999.
