Habitech has inked a distribution deal with AMX which will enable it to offer AMX Control and Digital Media signal management systems from September. Habitech will primarily focus on AMX's range of NetLinx control processors, Modero touch screen panels (pictured above) and related ICS LAN interfaces, for system control. The range is suitable for single room control of home cinema rooms, multi-zone audio and video control requirements and even complex system integration with KNX based sub-systems performing building management and lighting control.
For signal management, Habitech will concentrate on AMX's Enova DGX Link platform, which supports fully matrixed configurations from 4x4 to 64x64, and any multiple of 4x inputs/4x outputs in between.
AMX Sales Director Jonathan Mangnall says he's "delighted" to announce Habitech as its specialist distributor for the residential market. "With Habitech's unrivalled knowledge of the custom install sector, and their focus on service and support, we see them as a key partner in the future growth of our residential business," he says. "They have a strong technical team - something that's extremely important for the CI channel - and very strong and personable management and sales teams. The AMX control and video systems portfolio will complement their current product line-up well. We look forward to developing this further with them."
Habitech Brand Manager Daryl Brennan adds: "As home installations become reliant on a successful blend of wired and wireless networks, there's a greater need to appreciate the implications of transporting different signals and to identify the appropriate 'grade' of cable and component infrastructure required. Building on our successful ProNet IP networking initiative, the relationship with AMX is a natural next step for Habitech, enabling us to provide truly integrated control and reliable signal management across HDMI, UTP and fibre."
