Extra Vegetables' new Sonos integration module for the URC Total Control system is now available from CI distributor AWE Europe. Acknowledging the popularity of Sonos with consumers and installers alike, the Extra Vegetables module provides complete 2-way control of a Sonos system, be it Playbar, Play speakers, Sonos Bridge or Connect: Amp from Total Control touchpanels, remotes and iOS app.
Users can browse and search artist, album and track details on all Total Control interfaces, and as the module is 2-way, any music selected in Total Control is immediately reflected in the Sonos Desktop Controller and vice-versa. The module also allows the likes of Spotify, Napster and last.fm to be driven directly through aTotal Control system.
The introduction is a significant addition to URC functionality says AWE. "URC Total Control dealers have been asking for Sonos integration for a while now," declares technical services manager Mal Fisher. "Sonos is a highly flexible solution with fantastic support for music streaming services. The opportunity offered to customers by the Extra Vegetables module creates a completely integrated solution which brings their favourite music services perfectly in-line with the URC control system."
