Epson Home Entertainment and Home Cinema projectors

Epson's pioneering work brings you the most advanced projector technologies and innovative solutions. It puts you right at the centre of the digital home cinema experience.

Epson is exploring a new dimension in home cinema with its Full HD 3D projectors that produce the brightest 3D images available on the market. The top-of-the-range  EH-TW9100W projector produces high definition cinematic images and bright 3D projections for comfortable and immersive viewing.

Epson Home Cinema projectors explained

Epson EH-TW490 HD Ready projector
Building on the success of its best-selling home cinema projector, the EH-TW480, Epson has introduced the EH-TW490 - the next generation in its HD-Ready projector range. As well as offering all the features that made the previous model so popular, this 720p home cinema projector is the only model in its class to feature both vertical and horizontal correction of up to 30 degrees, and a three-year or 2,000-hour lamp warranty.

Thanks to keystone correction, users can easily align a straight image, regardless of the projector's angle. Combined with its slim, lightweight design, this portable HD-Ready projector can be set up almost anywhere - perfect for playing video games, watching movies and cheering on sporting events in different rooms or even a friend's house.

With an equally high White and Colour Light Output of 3,000 lumens and Epson's 3LCD technology, users can watch bright content with vivid colours without having to sit in the dark. The contrast ratio of 12,000:1 also means that very dark, shadowy movie scenes or live action sport events appear much clearer and don't look washed out.

Graeme Davidson, business manager, Epson UK, says: "This HD-Ready projector easily transforms video games, movies and sports into big-screen events with cinematic-quality images. With an easier set up and longer lamp warranty than other competitors, users can relax and concentrate on what's happening on screen, rather than what's happening with their projector."

Epson EH-TW5200 Full HD projector
The world's leading projector manufacturer1 announces its new dedicated video game projector, the EH-TW5200, featuring a new 'fast mode' for very low lag time. It also features a high contrast ratio and new MHL connectivity to play content from smartphones or tablets.

Ideal for gamers looking to invest in a large screen to complement their video games console, the EH-TW5200 delivers bright, Full HD 2D and 3D gaming graphics.

By switching to 'fast mode', users can fully immerse themselves in fast-paced video games without delay - important for multiplayer tournaments or first person shooters that need split-second reaction times. The high contrast ratio of 15,000:1 means that dark, shadowy cut scenes and in-game graphics are crisp and clear, not washed out. Meanwhile, the equally high White and Colour Light Output of 2,000lm, and Epson's 3LCD technology, means that users can easily watch their content without having to sit in the dark.

The EH-TW5200 is also one of Epson's first gaming projectors to allow users to play content directly from their smartphone or tablet thanks to the MHL port - including photos, videos and music.

Graeme Davidson, business manager, Epson UK, says: "We've developed this projector as the ideal upgrade from traditional flat screen TVs, for bigger, brighter, better gaming. Not only does it offer Full HD 2D and 3D projections and a whole host of other features to heighten gamers' experiences, the projector is also completely adaptable to a variety of environments. With a screen size that easily ranges between 30 and 300 inches, as well as keystone correction for a straight image - no matter what the projector's angle - it's not essential to have large open areas or clear a lot of space to project high definition content."

The EH-TW5200 is compatible with USB-rechargeable, Radio Frequency (RF) active shutter 3D glasses sold separately at £70. With their RF connectivity, these lightweight glasses can be used up to 10 metres from the projector.

Epson EH-TW7200,  EH-TW9200 and EH-TW9200W home cinema projectors
Offering more movie fans high-end cinematic technology, Epson announces three new top-of-the-range 3D home cinema projectors - including a stripped-down version for movie lovers who want to enjoy immersive, big-screen experiences on a budget. With almost twice the contrast ratio of previous models and new MHL connectivity for smartphone and tablet users, this range also includes Frame Interpolation in both 2D and 3D mode.

The range features the EH-TW9200W, a wireless Full HD model that allows users to connect their Full HD devices to the projector, without having to install them in the same room. The EH-TW9200 is available as a non-wireless version.

The EH-TW7200 offers features usually found in high-end models, such as a wide lens shift and very high contrast ratio, but with a much lower price tag.

All three models are ideal for watching the latest blockbusters with dark, shadowy scenes, thanks to a high contrast ratio, which ensures deeper, crisper blacks. The EH-TW9200W and EH-TW9200 both feature a very high contrast ratio of 600,000:1, while the EH-TW7200 is a very respectable 120,000:1.

The EH-TW9200W is also one of Epson's first home cinema projectors to allow users to play content directly from their smartphone or tablet - including photos, videos and music -thanks to the MHL port.

Graeme Davidson, business manager, Epson UK, says: "As the number one projector manufacturer across the globe for over a decade2, we're always pushing our technology further to offer home users the best possible movie experience. On top of that, all three of our projectors are compatible with USB-rechargeable, Radio Frequency (RF) active shutter 3D glasses included and sold separately at around £70. With their RF connectivity, these lightweight glasses can be used up to 10 metres from the projector and offer fantastic, immersive 3D entertainment."
