Philips Dynalite has expanded its Antumbra range of user interfaces with the AntumbraTouch, a minimalist capacitive glass panel featuring presence, light and temperature sensors. Distribution is via AWE Europe.
The AntumbraTouch.uses field effects technology to automatically detect a user's presence. When activated the control panel displays the brand's distinctive wall-wash lighting effect. An internal light sensor ensures the wall light wash effect is adjusted to the appropriate level. When the user moves away, the lighting effect subsides. A built-in temperature sensor can also monitor the local ambient temperature and can adjust the air conditioning when integrated into a network control system.
Each of the six buttons is configurable through Philips' Envision commissioning software, supporting a range of functions, including lighting, HVAC and blinds. The interface uses smartphone-style capacitive touch technology to pinpoint the position of a finger, activating the appropriate action. The AntumbraTouch interface is available in black or white, and can be combined with black, white, aluminium or chrome rims to best suit architectural features and décor. It's suitable for high-end residential, hospitality and commercial environments.
