XGIMI has opened pre-orders for its eagerly awaited Titan Noir series 4K projectors. The range, led by the Titan Noir Max, is now available via an early deposit programme ahead of a wider Kickstarter launch on April 23.
For the custom installation channel and specialist retail, the significance here lies less in the crowdfunding mechanics and more in what Titan Noir signals about XGIMI’s continued move upmarket. Positioned as the brand’s most advanced home theatre platform to date, the series has been engineered around RGB triple-laser illumination and a precision Dual Iris light-control system, with the stated goal of improving black floor performance in dedicated cinema rooms and premium media spaces.
At the top of the range, the Noir Max delivers up to 7,000 ISO lumens and a claimed 10,000:1 native contrast ratio, supported by its Dual Iris architecture. Support for IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ broadens content compatibility, while the quoted ΔE below 0.8 and 110% BT.2020 coverage suggest XGIMI is targeting not just brightness, but also reference-grade colour fidelity.
The projector is built on the MediaTek MT9681 platform with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage, alongside refresh rates of up to 240Hz for gaming-led applications.
XGIMI has confirmed a dedicated Titan Noir model for AV distributors in Europe, to be released at a later date and tailored to specific professional AV requirements. Watch this space.
