Wyrestorm has announced that it is weatherproofing its NetworkHD AVoIP line, using the Sealoc Weatherloc anti-corrosion, nano-coating process. The move means that designers of signal transmission and distribution for live events and outdoor AV environments will be able to integrate NetworkHD hardware in all-weather scenarios.
The new components will feature on Wyrestorm's ISE 2022 Barcelona stand (3J700); expect to see NetworkHD/Sealoc receivers demonstrated live. Distribution is through Habitech.
Sealoc’s proprietary Weatherloc is already used across a wide variety of electronic components in the OEM, commercial and consumer space. Designed to be ecologically friendly, its nano-coating solutions boast ROHS and REACH compliance.
The first Weatherloc treated all-weather Wyrestorm NHD product is the NHD-110-RX-S (the S suffix denotes Sealoc), a 1080p@60Hz, H.264, 2ch PCM audio out AVoIP receiver designed for long-distance, high-resolution AV distribution applications.
WyreStorm's Product Development Director Andrew Herron said: “It was a no-brainer for WyreStorm to partner with Sealoc. NetworkHD’s strong presence in hospitality and live events provided the perfect opportunity to create a solution that brings value to the market and our customers. Sealoc’s Weatherloc treatment uses incredible technology and we’re ecstatic to be one of the first manufacturers to offer a weatherproof AV over IP receiver at the OEM level.”
Sealoc's President James Webster said: “Coupling Wyrestorm’s products with our unique weather-proofing technology allows Wyrestorm to introduce the first ever weatherproof AV over IP extender. Pushing the technology envelope is part of both of our company’s DNA and we’re excited to work with a company like Wyrestorm.”
WyreStorm continues to offer a 5-year warranty and 24/7 customer support for all NHD lineups, including Sealoc treated versions. For more news stories featuring Habitech’s product portfolio and services, visit our resource page here.
