WOW!house 2026 set a new benchmark for design‑led interiors as smart home technology took a more visible and integrated role than ever before.
The month‑long showcase at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour marked CEDIA’s fifth consecutive year as Official Technology Partner.
According to the WOW!house 2026 Impact Report, the event drew 24,933 visitors, more than triple the 2022 audience. It also generated a 120 million PR reach, 110 international features, and strong digital engagement across web and social channels. For the interiors sector, it underlined WOW!house’s growing influence as a platform where design, technology and brand collaboration converge.
The Impact Report highlights a significant rise in audience interaction. The campaign delivered 115,000 website visitors, 300,000 page views, 2.8 million social impressions, and more than 2,000 visitor‑generated posts. The programme expanded too, with 101 speakers, 26 talks, 82 guided tours, and 2,600 tour participants.
For CEDIA, the figures reflect a shift in how designers and homeowners view technology within premium residential spaces.
This year’s WOW!house placed professionally integrated smart home systems at the centre of its story. CEDIA members worked alongside participating designers to create rooms where tech supported interiors rather than competing.
Architectural lighting, concealed audio, immersive sound, video‑led features, automation and intelligent control were woven into the fabric of each space. The aim was to show how technology can enhance atmosphere, comfort and usability, while preserving materiality and craftsmanship.
Andrea Harvey, CEDIA’s Director of Design & Build Outreach, said the showcase demonstrated what can be achieved when integrators and designers collaborate early.
“WOW!house represents the very best of what our industry can achieve through collaboration, bringing together visionary designers, leading brands and expert integrators to create truly immersive and inspiring spaces. This year’s showcase is a powerful example of technology working hand‑in‑hand with creativity, demonstrating how early collaboration between designers and integrators can elevate atmosphere, deliver memorable experiences, and help create homes that are both beautiful and highly functional.”
CEDIA also used WOW!house 2026 to strengthen ties with the design community. The organisation supported panel discussions, CPD‑led sessions and networking opportunities for designers, brands and technology professionals.
Wendy Griffiths, CEDIA’s Senior Vice President of Membership & Global Development for Operations, said the event highlighted the growing importance of technology in luxury residential projects.
“As smart home technology continues to play an increasingly integral role in high‑end residential projects, CEDIA is proud to support environments where creativity, craftsmanship and innovation can thrive,” she said. “WOW!house 2026 has provided an important opportunity to show designers, brands and homeowners what is possible when technology professionals are brought into the creative process from the beginning.”
Following the success of WOW!house 2026, CEDIA says it will continue championing the value of qualified integrators in shaping the future of luxury living.
