Waterfall Audio will debut its new flagship loudspeaker, the Niagara XT3, at CEDIA Expo 2025 in Denver. The launch marks the completion of the company’s Niagara XT series. But the line is going out on a high.

Crafted in France, the Niagara XT3 continues Waterfall’s 25-year tradition of producing glass-bodied loudspeakers aimed at the high-end residential market. Standing 46 inches tall, the XT3 is built from 10mm Safety Platinum glass and incorporates a fully transparent enclosure designed to blend with contemporary interiors. It joins the Niagara XT1 and XT2 in the range, which feature wood horn tweeters.

The XT3 introduces a mechanically decoupled glass horn tweeter, assembled from 11 precision-machined glass components. Each unit requires a combination of advanced fabrication techniques and extensive hand assembly at Waterfall’s facility in the South of France. The tweeter is paired with a neodymium silk dome driver, intended to deliver extended high frequencies with clarity and scale.

Mid and low frequencies are managed by twin ATOHM LD180 bass-midrange drivers supported by an 8-inch passive radiator. A dedicated infra-low frequency driver is integrated into the aluminium base for extended bass response. The speaker’s total rated output is 500 watts.

To manage cabinet resonance, Waterfall has developed its proprietary JETSTREAM damping system. Inspired by aerospace engineering, the system incorporates an aluminium turbine structure that controls rear wave reflections, assists heat dissipation, and mechanically decouples the drivers from the glass enclosure.

Attention to finish extends beyond the acoustic design. The XT3 features Nappa leather accents, custom crossovers and oversized connectors intended to support professional installation.

The Niagara XT3 will be available in North America from September 2025, via distributor Selective Design, who will host demonstrations at CEDIA Expo.
