Acoustic technology innovator Vicoustic has opened a new leading edge production facility in Paços de Ferreira, Portugal.
The factory is said to significantly boost Vicoustic’s production capabilities, enabling the ongoing development and manufacture of eco-friendly acoustic panels, and sound booths made primarily from recycled materials.
Its latest acoustic treatment solutions include Virtual Material Technology (VMT) acoustic panels utilising VicPET Wool, a material made primarily from ocean-rescued plastic bottles.
The 2024 Vicoustic Convention served as the platform for the grand opening, attracting business partners from around the globe. Attendees were invited to tour the facility, and see the acoustic product manufacturing process first hand.
The company, founded in 2007, produces stylish acoustic treatments for Hi-Fi listening ro0oms, home cinemas, offices, restaurants, schools, and recording studios.
The facility incorporates sustainable practices, such as solar panels, reduced consumption, and minimised waste through the reuse of leftover materials for packaging.
