Philips has unveiled a trio of Dolby Atmos soundbars for 2025, at a range reveal in Barcelona. The lineup comprises the B6100, B8200, and B8500. The latter is designed to fit perfectly with the central stands of Philips incoming MLED950 and OLED810 TVs, while the B8200 is designed for TVs with central stands, a height of just 37mm allows it to be used with low-stand TVs without blocking the screen. The entry-level B6100, with a width of 600mm, is intended for smaller TVs, around 48- to 55-inches.
All models feature Dolby Atmos, DTS:X + Virtual X compatibility, have HDMI 2.1 eARC connectivity, and the latest Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity (B8200 features BT5.3) with LE audio compatibility.
Launching in September, the B8500 is a full-width 5.1 soundbar, with smart Satin Chrome Sheen finish. Measuring 900 x 65 x 105mm, designed to fit with the flat plate, central stands of TVs like the Philips OLED810 and MLED950. Its elliptical profile reduces height to avoid screen blocking without compromising performance.
The LCR array comprises 63.5mm drivers, with two side firing 50.8mm drivers. The system has a total power of 300W RMS, with each of the five drivers in the main bar receiving 30W each. The included subwoofer can be mounted vertically or horizontally and features a single 8-inch driver with 150W power plant.
Due August, the B8200 is 811 mm wide with a height of just 37mm and a depth of 42mm, making it one of the most discrete soundbars yet from the brand. It’s designed to work with central TV stands and can be used with low-stand TVs. This 2.1 system features a pair of tweeters and full range racetrack drivers, each of which receives 15W for 60W in total. The bundled twin driver subwoofer has 120W of power, and can be used either mounted horizontally or vertically.
The B6100, on sale in May, shares the same elliptical design of the B8500, but is narrower at 600mm, making it ideal for 55-inch and smaller sets. This 2.1 system has 200W RMS power on tap, with 40W for each of the two 57mm drivers mounted in the soundbar and 120W for the subwoofer.
All three 'bars featuring PCR recycled plastics, plastic-free packaging, and single-color UV printing.
