The updated Fire TV interface will be rolling out to more devices in a matter of weeks, Amazon has confirmed.
It will land will be rolling out to Fire TV Stick (2nd gen), then Fire TV smart TVs and Fire TV soundbars. This news follows the launch of the new Fire TV Experience on Fire TV Stick (3rd gen) and Fire TV Stick Lite last year, and this spring’s launch on Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV (3rd Gen, Pendant Design).
The revamped Fire TV experience features User Profiles, a simplified Main Menu bar, and the ability to pin favorite apps for quick access. New features like App Peeks let users explore content from popular apps within the user interface itself, while Find can be filtered by categories like TV Shows, Movies, and Kids & Family.
Additionally, Following April’s launch on Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV (3rd Gen, Pendant Design), Amazon Kids is now moving to Fire TV Stick (2nd gen).
With Amazon Kids on Fire TV, child-friendly TV shows and films are presented in a safe environment with easy-to-use parental controls, allowing parents to manage settings, including customisable time limits, age filters, and weekday and weekend settings. The redesigned Fire TV experience allows parents to setup or use existing Kids Profiles with Amazon Kids. Parents can also add purchased TV shows, films and downloaded apps such as Netflix, Disney+, and BBC iPlayer to their kids’ profile.
