Loudspeaker specialist Triangle has added two Bluetooth-enabled models to its Borea range. The BR03 BT and BR02 BT active speakers sport low-latency Bluetooth 5.0 aptX, alongside traditional source inputs, creating a ‘just add smartphone’ music system.
Physical connectivity comprises mini-Jack and analogue RCA inputs, plus optical and coaxial digital inputs, allowing the Borea BT duo to also act as a stylish alternative to the soundbar. The new loudspeakers are compatible with external subwoofers via a dedicated output.
The standmount BR03 BT has a 165mm midrange/bass driver and 25mm tweeter, with 2 x 60-watt amplification, and a Bluetooth range of up to 40m. The smaller bookshelf BR02 BT has a 2x50-watt power plant and a 133mm midrange/bass driver anda 25mm tweeter. Both are rear-ported designs.
With an eye to interior design acceptance, the new Borea speakers combine strong colour options with classic wood finishes. The range is available in Oak Green, Cream, Light Oak Blue and Black.
The Borea BR03 BT sell for £599 per pair, while the BRO2 BT are available for £499. Distribution is via Exertis.
