Blending the latest in AV connectivity with high-end two channel audio, the Marantz STEREO 70s hopes to play to a whole new audience of music and movie fans.
The latest in the brand's 70th anniversary releases, the new Hi-Fi receiver adopts the stylish design of the brand’s Cinema Series components, but has been tuned by Marantz Sound Masters in Japan, with the care and attention of a Hi-Fi separate.
Developed to outperform traditional chip-based op-amps, Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAMs), promise musicality, and there’s support for 192kHz 24-bit digital audio, and DSD files. Power output is rated at 75W per channel.
The STEREO 70s stands 11cm tall, and measures 442 x 375 x 109mm. It supports connectivity to two pairs of loudspeakers, which can be played separately or together, for Zone 2 listening. Setup is via the brand’s new HD on-screen interface.
Three of the six HDMI inputs support 8k and 4k 120HZ sources, there’s also ARC output. It also provides three analogue audio input, a phono MM input, for turntable owners, and FM/DAB+ radio.
There’s support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ sources, alongside VRR, ALLM and QFT. Ethernet is available to support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
With HEOS Built-in, it’s also possible to integrate the receiver with other HEOS enabled devices on a home network. Apple users can take advantage of AirPlay2. It ships with a backlit remote control.
The Marantz STEREO 70s retails for £900 (€1,000) and is available in black and silver gold finishes.
