TCL aims to claim a larger slice of the budget 4k QLED market with the roll out of its C64 series of screens, which range in size from 43 - to 85-inches. Prices span £329 to £1,499. The new models boast HDR10+ support, as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos compatibility, plus a 120 HZ Game Accelerator.
The full TCL C645K (C64 Series) QLED range comprises the sizes and 43-inch C645K (£329), 40-inch C645K ( £379), 55-inch C645K (£429), 65-inch C645K (£599), 75-inch C645K (£949) and 85-inch C645K (£1499).
In addition to its 2023 C Series with Mini LED and QLED TVs, the brand is also shipping matching soundbars, the budget S64 Series.
TCL is now the Global Top 2 TV Brand (and Global Top 1 Android TV brand) according to OMDIA’s Global TV sets report 2022. TCL large size TVs continue to boom, earning it top slot in global 98-inch TV market share.
The brand is also offering a step-up QLED line, the C74 Series. Available in 55-, 65- and 75-inch screen sizes, features include Full Array Local Dimming technology, 4K HDR Pro, 240Hz Game Accelerator and 144Hz Motion Clarity Pro.
For higher specification buyers, TCL remains a big proponent of Mini LED technology, citing high, precise contrast, less blooming, high brightness, and a better uniformity as reasons to buy into the technology. Its C84 Series Mini LED TVs come in 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inch screen sizes.
TCL says it plans to expand its TCL XL Collection with even more Mini LED and QLED TV options from 65- and up to 98-inches through 2023.
