French home cinema specialist StormAudio will unveil a new receiver and AV processor at ISE 2023.
The ISP Evo is a digital sound processor, based on the brand’s proprietary modular platform, designed to offer integrators multiple hardware and software options when it comes to installation.
‘Whether you need AES/EBU interfaces with 20 or 32 channels of digital outputs, 16 channels of digital DCI-compatible inputs, or audio over IP AES67/Dante networked interface for up to 32-channel inputs and outputs, the ISP Evo will satisfy your need,’ says the brand.
The ISR Fusion 20 is a 16 channels integrated receiver, which can support up to 20 channels of decoding and post-processing. Power output is rated at 150W per channel (into 8 ohms). Bridgeable, it can provide up to 3 x 500W (8 ohm) to more demanding speakers. It also introduces Dirac’s new Active Room Treatment, which is intended to address bass resonance and room decay time and to produce a cleaner, tighter bass experience.
Much like Active Noise Cancellation technology, Active Room Treatment uses the system’s own speakers to actively cancel out unwanted wavelengths originating from other speakers.
The ISP Evo will be available in the first quarter 2023, with the ISR Fusion 20 following in the second quarter.
Soon after the ISE show, StormAudio plans to release a complimentary new firmware upgrade compatible with all StormAudio units, that includes the StormEasy Wizard, a step-by-step configuration for all users.
This firmware will allow installers to reconfigure a 32ch processor with a simple Preset selection and create various listening experiences and speaker usages. A new low-latency mode will also included, for a better gaming experience.
