Soundcore has announced the Nebula X1 Pro, a next-generation portable projector designed to combine large-format 4K visuals with a full Dolby Atmos sound system. Positioned as a ‘mobile theatre station,’ the unit integrates projection, audio and accessories into a single transportable form factor.
The launch follows the success of the original X1, but expands the proposition with enhanced sound delivery. Touted as a full cinema-in-a-box, integrators can consider this a turnkey solution for temporary or semi-permanent installations, including outdoor environments.
Soundcore is Anker’s smart entertainment brand.
At its core, the Nebula X1 Pro is a triple-laser 4K UHD projector rated at 3,500 ANSI lumens, capable of casting images up to 300-inches. It supports Dolby Vision HDR and employs the NebulaMaster image engine, with a native contrast ratio of 5,000:1 and dynamic contrast up to 56,000:1. A 14-element glass lens array and six-blade iris are used to maintain image clarity and colour accuracy over time.
The projector incorporates AI-based setup utilities, including auto focus, auto keystone correction, optical zoom, obstacle avoidance and screen-fit, all activated with a single button press. A micro-gimbal allows lens tilt adjustment up to 25 degrees, while ambient light and wall-colour adaptation optimise the image for varying conditions.
A 400W Dolby Atmos-compatible speaker system is built directly into the chassis. This comprises two detachable front wireless speakers, two wireless rear surrounds, and dual integrated 5.25-inch subwoofers in the base. Each wireless speaker has its own amplification, battery power, up to eight hours, and IP54 protection, with charging docks built into the main unit.
Front speakers can operate in soundbar mode when docked, or be detached and placed near the screen. Rear speakers stow inside the unit but can be deployed to create a full surround configuration.
When it comes to calibration, a new software utility uses four built-in microphones to measure tones emitted from each speaker, automatically aligning delay, distance and angle for optimal sound.
An optional 200-inch inflatable screen is also available, designed with a sealed structure to remain inflated without constant airflow. It resists tipping, sets up in under five minutes and ships with a battery-powered air pump.
Additional features include liquid cooling for near-silent operation, Google TV with native Netflix, and broad connectivity via HDMI, dual USB-C and USB-A ports. The unit also integrates retractable handles and cable storage for mobility.
The soundcore Nebula X1 Pro will retail for $4,999.99, with general availability expected in March 2026.
