Sony has announced 15 new Bravia 4K HDR professional displays, across four series, ranging in size from 43- to 98-inches.

The BZ50L, BZ40L, BZ35L and BZ30L series are optimised for commercial environments, and include high-end, mid-range and standard models, and incorporate a common chassis design for easily choosing suitable brightness models without requiring installation redesign.
All come with a new centre alignment rail kit for easy mounting.

Other common features include 24/7 operation, one step setting of pre-sets for easy configuration and customisation, mirroring capabilities, Pro Mode technology for simplifying operations, a uniform bezel design, and flexible installation for portrait and tilt mounting. There’s also support for multi-display installation, to enable tiling and a side logo for blend-in design purposes.

The flagship 98-inch FW-98BZ50L achieves 780 nits of brightness in a larger sized display. It’s approximately 22 per cent lighter, with a 28 per cent slimmer bezel, than the stablemate BZ40J series. To help with installation, ergonomic horizontal handles are incorporated into the bottom of the display, and vertical handles are featured on top.

With an X1 processor, the BZ40L series comprises the 85-inch FW-85BZ40L, 75-inch FW-75BZ40L , 65-inch FW-65BZ40L and 55-inch FW-55BZ40L.

Brightness is rated at 700 nits, at a high 47 per cent haze with anti-reflection (except for the FW-85BZ40L, which achieves 650 nits at 58 per cent haze), without loss of contrast, courtesy of a Deep Black Non-Glare Coating.

Also X1 processor powered, the enhanced BZ35L series comprises the 85-inch FW-85BZ35L, 75-inch FW-75BZ35L, 65-inch FW-65BZ35L and 55-inch FW-55BZ35L, and 550 nits of brightness.

The new standard line, the BZ30L series, include the 85-inch FW-85BZ30L, 75-inch FW-75BZ30L, 65-inch FW-65BZ30L , 55-inch FW-55BZ30L, 50-inch FW-50BZ30L and 43-inch FW-43BZ30L. All feature X1 processing (except for the FW-98BZ30L, which is equipped with an XR Processor) and offer 440 nits of brightness.

All 15 models incorporate sustainable elements, including the use of SORPLAS recycled plastic, less ink usage on the cartons and ECO Dashboard for better understanding power consumption based on settings configuration.

All L-series models BZ30L, BZ35L, BZ40L and BZ50L will be available from August 2023. The new pro BRAVIA displays feature a 3-year PrimeSupport package and an optional 2-year extension can be purchased.

“As we evolve our BRAVIA professional display offerings, we’re mindfully looking to address our customers’ latest requirements and needs, while prioritising sustainability, and we’ve done just that by expanding our lineup and incorporating new technologies that address customers’ needs for a high haze, anti-reflection, non-glare portfolio that supports installations in bright, high ambient light environments,” said Christopher Mullins, Head of BRAVIA Professional, Sony Europe.

“Pro AV users continue to trust Sony’s professional displays due to their picture quality, flexibility, range of sizes and ease of use and we know they’ll value the new options’ exceptional combination of features that meet the challenges of today’s changing commercial landscape.”
