Sony confirms 65-inch BRAVIA 9 Mini LED 4K flagship TV for UK

Sony has confirmed that a 65-inch version of its BRAVIA 9 Mini LED flagship TV will be coming to the UK, having previous announced that it would only be shipping super large 75- and 85-inch models into the UK and Europe.

The announcement will delight many, as the Bravia 9 stands as one of the most impressive Mini LED models Inside CI has seen this year. Initially, the 65-incher was only allocated a US release.

Utilising advanced Mini LED lighting with leading edge local dimming, the Bravia 9 delivers astonishingly precise HDR content, with black levels akin to OLED and peak highlights considerably brighter. New XR Backlight Master Drive technology is used to manage thousands of mini-LED dimming zones.

Inside CI had an early hands-on with the 65-inch BRAVIA 9 at Sony’s Weybridge HQ, and can confirm it looks every bit as spectacular as it larger stablemates, with superb black and near black shadow detail, vibrant hues and immense specular highlights.

The Sony BRAVIA 9 is set to retail in November. Pricing has yet to be confirmed, although stateside the company is pegging its 75- and 85-inch Bravia 9 models at $2,999.99 and $3,499.99 respectively.
