Sony’s new XR Master Series A90K and XR A75K OLED TVs are available to pre-order in the UK and Europe, with the manufacturer confirming UK pricing.
The 48- and 42-inch A90K (pictured above) sell for £1,899, and £1,799, and ship June 20 and July 11 respectively, while the 55- and 65-inch A75K are priced at £1,999 and £2,799, out June 15.
The new OLED TVs pair Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR technology and XR OLED Contrast Pro, with XR Triluminos Max, said to deliver Sony’s widest colour palette to date.
The high-spec models also feature Sony’s enhanced Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology (the A75K lacks the subwoofer) and a new Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode, which automatically adjusts image processing based on ambient light.
Similarly, these models also boast a BRAVIA CORE Calibrated mode which automatically adjusts image parameters, depending on ambient light. They support Dolby Vision, but not Dolby Vision IQ.
The A90K and A75K are compatible with BRAVIA cam, a newly developed Sony camera which recognises where users are sitting and optimises the picture and sound accordingly. It supports gesture controls and video chat.
The sets are also designated ‘Perfect for PlayStation 5, as they include two PS5 exclusive features: Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre picture mode. This will doubtless make the smaller OLEDs of particular interest to gamers looking for a big near-field monitor.
