Sonus faber, Italian Hi-Fi specialist, has unveiled the Duetto, a high-end active wireless stereo speaker system with a refined sense of style.
Developed from scratch by the Sonus faber research and design team in Vicenza, Italy, the Duetto is a two-way design: a silk dome tweeter, crowned with a copper cap, delivers crisp highs, while a paper pulp mid-woofer with a neodymium magnet provides deep bass.
A 100W class AB amplifier handles the highs, while a robust 205W class D amplifier powers the lows.
The lute-shaped wood cabinet is more than an aesthetic choice; it ensures cabinet stiffness while eliminating internal resonance. A leather-finished SENSO interface on the top of the cabinet offers fingertip control of volume, input selection and source.
Wi-Fi certified, the system has support for AirPlay, Chromecast, Tidal, Spotify, Roon, and Bluetooth. For TV and media room use, there are HDMI and optical digital inputs. Vinyl enthusiasts will appreciate the built-in moving magnet turntable input, which is switchable for line-level sources.
An UWB wireless connection eliminates latency between the two enclosures. The system can also be augmented with an optional wireless subwoofer.
The Duetto active wireless stereo speaker system will be available starting November 2023 at a price of £3,490 per pair. Optional Duetto stands are alo available separately for £649 per pair. Sonus faber is distributed in the UK by Fine Sounds UK
