Italian audio specialist Sonus faber has unveiled its first outdoor speaker at ISE 2023. The Aster adopts a slimline profile, with symmetrical passive radiators, which it says enable it to maintain a stylish facade without compromising audio performance.
With ease of installation uppermost in mind, the Aster’s mounting bracket uses a baynet locking system. The spring mechanism inside the cabinet also allows the speaker to tilt in small 15-degree increments, without having to adjust the system with a screw. The 2-way speaker features a 133mm low/mid frequency transducer, and a 25mm tweeter.
“Sonus faber has always represented more than just a product for me” says Livio Cucuzza, McIntosh Group Chief Design Officer “It is a way of seeing things, but above all an acoustic and aesthetic philosophy in which to identify. So why limit yourself to the home environment? Aster interprets the desire to expand the horizons of Sonus faber and offer moments of pure sound enjoyment outdoors and in public spaces.”
Available to order now, the Aster retails for £375.
