Digital signage disruptor Solum created a buzz at ISE 2025, with an impressive array of customisable solutions for commercial and retail applications.

Making its first appearance at Integrated Systems Europe, the South Korean company placed an emphasis on enhanced visual communication and energy efficiency, unveiling a diverse line-up of digital displays, including Interactive Digital Display Solutions, NDI Native Signage, and Touch Finding Solutions, ranging from 1 to 100-inches.

This extensive portfolio highlighted the company's ability to cater to various retail needs, from small displays providing real-time product information to large screens dedicated to advertising.

Solum's digital signage solutions are designed to be versatile, fitting seamlessly into any retail space and enhancing eco-friendly values through the application of EPD (Electronic Paper Display) technology.

A variety of low power EPD displays were offered by Solum at the show, looking indistinguishable from print advertising. Solum told Inside CI that it was already working with key grocery outlets across Europe, to deploy the technology.

Sung-ho Jeon, CEO, expressed the company's excitement about its inaugural appearance at ISE 2025 under the compelling tagline ‘United for the Future.’ Jeon emphasised the significance of Solum’s AI-driven technologies and innovative displays, suggesting the brand’s debut at ISE would “help establish Solum as an all-around brand for the future of retail, offering solutions for the full shopping experience, from EV chargers at the parking lot to cutting-edge ESL and digital displays for retailers."

A highlight of the booth was the Solum Ball, a cube of interconnected digital signages representing the synergy of Solum's technologies. Inside CI was invited to engage with Sarah, an AI-powered guide who explained the unique features of the signage, responding to spoken questions from a pre-set menu. The Solum Cube cinema provided an immersive experience, showcasing Solum’s journey and its impact on retail environments.

Key to the Solum proposition is the adoption of Native NDI (Network Device Interface) technology in its 43-, 50-, 55-, and 65-inch displays. Unlike traditional SDI systems, NDI technology enables stable HD-to-8K video transmission over Ethernet networks without requiring additional external equipment.

This technology has already captured the attention of North America's broadcast studios, media production facilities, and security control centers, positioning NDI as the emerging standard for professional video solutions.

Another highlight was the engaging winery showcase, featuring a 55-inch dual screen that highlighted the wine production journey, blending functionality with digital art; technological innovation with aesthetic appeal, for an elevated retail experience.
