Sharp has expanded its flatscreen lineup with the launch of the GK and GM TV series, the first from the brand to integrate the TiVo OS platform. These affordable 4K UHD Smart TVs also feature sleek, frameless designs and superior sound.
The GM6000 series is the flagship offering, with Quantum-Dot panels and Dolby Vision support. Audio performance has been fine-tuned by Harman-Kardon and while they’re limited to a 2-way speaker design, they come with Dolby Atmos compatibility. Connectivity comprises three HDMI 2.1 ports.
The GM6000 series comes in three sizes: 43-inch (retailing for £299), 50-inch (£389) and 55-inch (£449).
The GK4000 series are a more budget-friendly LED option, but they still have Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The series offers a range of sizes to accommodate different viewing needs: 43-inch (£279), 50-inch (£349), 55-inch (£389) and 70-inch (£649).
Key to both the GM6000 and GK4000 series appeal is the TiVo OS, which is designed with a ‘Content-First’ philosophy, prioritising ease of access to preferred shows, movies, and sports. The platform consolidates content from various streaming services and linear TV into a central hub, making navigation straightforward and intuitive.
The TiVo OS also features an advanced search function, personalised recommendations, and, in the GM6000 series, natural voice navigation, allowing users to find content using voice commands.
