Electronics giant Sharp Corporation is celebrating 111 years with its first independent large-scale technology exhibition in Tokyo.
Taking place November 10-12, at Tokyo Big Sight, under the banner Be a Game Changer - Game-changing technologies transforming our future, the event commemorates the founding of the company on September 15 1912.
The Sharp Tech Day exhibition will comprise four zones, including Smart Living, Smart Industry, Smart Cities, and Sustainability, each set up in collaboration with technology partner companies.
Visitors will be able experience products and services that have ushered in global innovations, with talk sessions hosted by various leaders across leading edge industries.
The public-facing event will also platform opportunities for startup companies and job-seeking students.
Sharp is best known for CE in the UK and Europe, but continues to explore innovation across a variety of fields, including how people live and work. The corporation says it aims to ‘establish its image as a future-gazing company that supports people and society while continuing to deliver new advancements to the world.’
The brand is planning to introduce innovative technologies at the event 'that will be the driving force of its mid to long-term sustainability growth plan.’ To support the event, Sharp has launched a dedicated website, Sharp Tech-Day.
Sharp Tech-Day takes place November 10-12, at Tokyo Big Sight, Koto-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
