Sharp has launched two new 4k (3840 x 2160) digital signage display ranges, designed for 24/7 operation in retail, corporate, transport and education environments.

The PN-HY 431/501/551 and the PN-HS 431/501/551 offer a max brightness of 500 cd/m² and 700 cd/m² respectively, and are available in three sizes – 43-, 50- and 55-inches.

Both models use wide colour gamut panels, and are optimised for reading complex information in professional specialised applications such as traffic control, surveillance or medical imaging systems.

To give integrators flexible installation options, both models can be mounted in landscape, portrait, face-up, face-down, tilt-forward and tilt-backward up to a 90-degree angle. Their lightweight design promises an easy install in a wide variety of locations.

The panels also have studio applications, with white balance adjustment and colour temperature settings suitable for broadcasting and video production.

The pair support USB playback and have fully integrated 2x10W speakers for multimedia content. The displays are also fitted with three HDMI inputs. Using an integrated LAN/RS-232C interface, the displays can be used within any existing control system; users can monitor and control the displays from a central location
