Samsung will launch its new Movingstyle TV, a 27-inch portable QHD touchscreen, in the UK this December, priced at £1,199.
The Movingstyle is the latest lifestyle TV solution from Samsung that aims to build on the success of the brand’s Frame line of designer screens. The novel portable includes an integrated carry handle and a detachable soft-wheeled stand, allowing the screen to move easily from the kitchen counter to the garden room, home office, or bedside table.
A built-in battery provides up to three hours of unplugged use, offering enough freedom for a film, a few episodes of a favourite show, or an evening of casual gaming without needing to stay near a socket.
The display itself is a 27-inch QHD touchscreen that automatically switches between landscape and portrait orientations, optimising the view for any content, whether streaming video, social media, or creative applications. It also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, enhancing its appeal to gamers.
The integrated Samsung Gaming Hub offers direct access to cloud gaming services such as Xbox Game Pass and NVIDIA GeForce NOW. Wireless controller support and minimal input lag make it a self-contained gaming solution, says the brand.
Powered by Samsung’s Tizen OS, the Movingstyle provides access to a full suite of streaming services, including Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube, alongside Samsung TV Plus, the brand’s free, ad-supported platform offering live and on-demand channels.
The Movingstyle also introduces a Now Brief feature, a customisable dashboard that displays practical information such as weather, memos, and music recommendations, even when the TV is in standby mode. The display can ‘wake’ hands-free through voice activation, turning it into an ambient home companion as well as a screen.
Sound credentials include Object Tracking Sound Lite with Dolby Atmos support, designed to produce an immersive audio field despite the compact size. Features such as Adaptive Sound Pro and Active Voice Amplifier Pro adjust dialogue and tone according to the surrounding environment, while Q-Symphony allows the Movingstyle to synchronise with compatible Samsung soundbars for enhanced audio output.
The screen also has a built-in whiteboard app that turns the display into a digital canvas for sketching, jotting down ideas, or collaborative use.
Already recognised with two IFA Innovation Awards, the MovingStyle is available to pre-order now from John Lewis & Partners, ahead of a wider release on Samsung.com in December.
