Rotel has launched two powerful new home theatre multi-channel amplifiers. The RMB-1585MKII and RMB-1587MKII are seven and five channel designs, respectively.

Available in either black or silver, the RMB-1587MKII boasts 155 Watts per channel (into 8 ohms) and is powered by dual in-house manufactured high-current toroidal transformers, driving 8 high-efficiency bulk storage capacitors.

The power supply architecture delivers deep, controlled, and rich bass energy, says the brand, even when driving the most demanding speaker loads.

Adopting Rotel's MKII design architecture, the RMB-1587MKII comes with circuit and component upgrades to both the power supply and amplifier stages.

To keep cool, the power amp is equipped with four thermostat-controlled, variable-speed ultra-low-noise fans.

The five channel RMB-1585MKII is slightly more reserved, delivering 210 Watts per channel (into 8 ohms). It too uses dual in-house manufactured oversized toroidal transformers, for pronounced controlled, deep bass and mid-range finesse.

Integrators will appreciate the rear panel switch which allows the amplifier to be configured as a three-Channel amplifier supporting bi-amp mode of Channels 1+2 and 4+5, for routing to HF and LF drivers.

Connectivity on both models includes auto-switching XLR Balanced and RCA inputs. For integration, there’s a 12 V trigger input.

The RMB-1585MKII will retail for £ 3599 ($4199.00 / € 4199.00), while the RMB-1587MKII sells for £ 3799 ($4399.00 / € 4399).
