Rotel has launched the A8, a more affordable integrated stereo amplifier with a slim 60mm chassis. Available in black and silver finishes, and offering 40W of Class AB amplification (into 4 ohms), the amp promises deep controlled bass energy, an ultra-refined midrange plus a highly detailed soundstage.

Connectivity comprises three RCA analogue inputs, plus a Moving Magnet Phono stage for vinyl enthusiasts.

The front panel offers Bass, Treble and Balance controls, while the included IR remote control provides volume and source selection. There’s also a a ⅛-inch headphone jack for headphone listening.

“Creating a true high-performance Integrated Amplifier - engineered without compromise and available at an exceptionally high-value price point - is a challenge few companies are able to even consider” says Daren Orth, Rotel’s Chief Technology Officer.

“Our policy of designing and manufacturing all key components in-house has given us the opportunity to create the A8, a true hi-fi quality system component that brings the same Rotel quality and performance, to a whole new audience of passionate music fans”.

The Rotel A8 retails for £399 ($449.99 / €399.00) and will be available from August.
