AV distributor RGB Communications has announced the expansion of its partnership with audio specialist Devialet, to launch the Devialet Astra, a designer all-in-one amplifier with integrated streamer and phono stage. Connectivity includes coaxial digital and optical digital audioUSB-C, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi.
Utilising Devialet’s ADH (Analog Digital Hybrid) technology, the Astra offers 2 x 300 watts, and is capable of 2 x 600 watts in Dual mode.
Interestingly, the Astra employs SAM (Speaker Active Matching) and RAM (Record Active Matching), which allows the amplifier to match its output to the characteristics of any connected passive speakers, while RAM technology dynamically adjusts the phono stage to match any connected turntable.
The Astra runs a Devialet DOS3 Operating System, powered by an iMX8 processor, for compatibility with a wide range of streaming protocols.
Devialet offers an exclusive trade-in program for existing customers who own an integrated Expert amplifier, known as the ‘Elevate Program’. This programme allows customers to acquire the new Devialet Astra at a favourable price, in exchange for their Expert unit, providing an accessible upgrade path to experience Devialet’s latest advancements in audio technology.
Audio enthusiasts and professionals have an exclusive opportunity to experience the revolutionary Devialet Astra amplifier in their own environment. Those interested in trialling the Astra can connect with their account manager, or the RGB sales team, to arrange a personalised demonstration.
This enhanced partnership between RGB Communications and Devialet is said to not only broaden RGB’s reach in the high-end audio market, but also reinforce its mission to provide customers with innovative solutions that deliver superior sound quality.
“Reinforcing our partnership with Devialet allows us to bring the latest audio innovation to our customers,” says Andy Atwell, Managing Director of RGB Communications. “The Astra exemplified the quality and artistry that Devialet is known for, and together we aim to elevate the audio experience across the UK and Ireland.”
