Smart lighting specialist Rako, has just upgraded its app to give users a simple touch-slider control of light intensity and colour temperature. The refinement allows clients to adjust the lighting to suit their needs for a particular task or set scenes that incorporate lighting.
Connecting via a Rako Hub, the app allows programming and storing of new scene levels, offers colour wheel control for RGB and RGBW fittings. The app also allows control of curtains and blinds, programming of new scenes; a holiday mode allows users to simulate an occupied home.
All of these features can be accessed via the app on the App Store or Google Play, and controlled from the local area network, or anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
Paul Wafer, Director at Rako, stated that adaptive lighting that suits the needs of the users is becoming increasingly important, saying: “Customers are interested in the benefits of lighting that follows circadian rhythms, and Rako's system can help meet that demand.” He adds that the newly refreshed app and control systems are key to making the technical side easier for the end user and boosting energy levels, especially during the dark winter months.
