Panasonic has announced a next generation OLED TV flagship at CES 2025, which utilises an all new, brighter, panel technology, as well as boasting a substantial aesthetic redesign.

The Z95B OLED TV, built on Amazon’s Fire TV platform, will be available in three screen sizes, 55-, 65-, and 77-inches, when it launches this summer. Price is TBC.

At the heart of the Z95B is Panasonic’s new Primary RGB Tandem Panel, which employs a four-layer emission structure to enhance colour purity and light efficiency by as much as 40 per cent. The result is significant brightness improvements, with deeper contrast, and a broader colour volume. Coupled with Panasonic’s proprietary ThermalFlow aerodynamic cooling system, apparently inspired by race car engineering, the TV sustains peak brightness and performance without compromising picture accuracy.

The Z95B’s HCX Pro AI Processor MK II further enhances image quality, utilising advanced algorithms to refine clarity, reduce noise, and improve gradation. Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail, dynamically adapting to ambient light conditions, is also onboard, along with other HDR standards.

Inside CI was at the launch of the Z95B, which was demonstrated alongside last year’s Z95A. We noted improvements in HDR peak whites, as well as deeper, richer hues. It's a stunner.

The Z95B series also introduces a redesigned 360-degree sound system. The integration of new line-array, side, and up-firing speakers is said to create a wider soundstage and enhance spatial audio processing, for immersive, theatre-like viewing.

Looking rather sleeker than previous Panasonic range-toppers, the Z95B features a full-flat design with premium fabric grille, as well as detachable terminal covers, swivel option, and reduced wall-mounting depth.

Gaming support includes AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, with a 144Hz refresh rate. Two of the four HDMI inputs support 4K 120HZ.
