Architectural audio specialist Origin Acoustics has announced a strategic partnership with Netgear that will allow it to sell Netgear’s CI-focussed wired and wireless solutions to the Custom Integration market.
This includes Netgear AV’s M4250 and M4300 lines of managed switches and 5 models of the Pro WiFi Access Point collection.
The Netgear M4250 and M4300 series are fully managed AV switches designed for integration with traditional rack-mounted AV equipment. They have a sleek and organised look, with multiple mounting options and Power over Ethernet (PoE) for single cable power and data delivery. Both ranges feature Netgear IGMP Plus and a user-friendly interface for per-port configuration with a built-in GUI or the Engage Controller app.
Joe Whitaker of Origin Acoustics explains that the company's goal is to provide the best hardware and service solutions for clients and move beyond just providing audio solutions to offering end-to-end solutions that impact the entire system. As 83% of music consumption is over networks, a stable and reliable network is crucial for meeting audio expectations.
“Considering 83 per cent of residential and commercial music consumption is over the network, our audio solutions simply cannot meet expectations without a solid network infrastructure,” he said.
By partnering with Netgear and providing AV-specific network components, Origin Acoustics aims to regulate the quality of sound from its speakers and create a foundation for future innovations.
Origin Acoustics will also be offering access point models supporting the latest WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E standards, including the OA4WiFi6 model access point. It has a purpose-built access point enclosure that integrates into Origin Acoustics 6-inch ZipClip speaker mounting system.
