Hot on the heels of its Photon Go UST projector rollout, Optoma has launched a high-end 4K projector for home theatre use. The UHZ68LV, which made its debut at this year’s ISE, has since gone on to captivate consumers at the recent Bristol Hi-Fi Show. Inside CI had the opportunity to experience the UHZ68LV at its Bristol debut and was impressed by the vibrancy of its colour performance and the dynamics of its imagery - an HDR style presentation is never easy for a projector to pull off.
The model is powered by a dual-laser light engine capable of a peak brightness of 5000 lumens, and 90 per cent DCI-P3 colour coverage.
It's also compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ sources, and features a 1.6x zoom, with lens shift, and 360-degree projection capabilities.
The single chip DLP UHZ68LV gives integrators plenty of flexibility when it comes to installation, with front, rear, or ceiling-mounted setup options.
Built around the brand’s PureEngine Ultra processor, picture presets include ISF and Filmmaker modes.
The UHZ68LV is priced at £3999.99 ($5,999).
