Projector specialist Optoma has unveiled the compact UHZ66, a high brightness 4k laser home entertainment and gaming projector. With a rated output of 4,000 lumens, dynamic 500,000:1 contrast ratio, and DuraCore laser light engine, the model looks a strong proposition for media room duties.
The chassis is 34 per cent smaller than previous Optoma models, making it easier to install in a wider range of rooms; there’s also a portrait mode installation option.
Able to display images up to 300-inches, the model boasts a maintenance free 30,000 hours (in Eco Mode) lifespan, and claims to consume 45 per cent less power compared to rival lamp-based projectors.
With sustainability in mind, the UHZ66 chassis is made up of 50 per cent post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials.
The UHZ66 offers a refresh rate at 240Hz in 1080p, and boasts a low-input lag of 17ms for 4k 60Hz gaming. Available now, the Optoma UHZ66 retails for £1,799.
