Optoma has introduced two ultra compact RGB triple laser projectors with a wide colour gamut, the Optoma ML1080 and ML1080ST.
The new models are designed for media rooms, immersive installations and on-the-go professional environments.
Utilising an RGB triple laser light source, with 1080p native resolution, the ML1080 and ML1080ST offer 1200 lumens of brightness and can produce accurate, cinema-grade colours.
Billy Harrison, Product Manager, Optoma, says the models offer levels of brightness normally only found in their more costly and larger home cinema projector counterparts.
The 0.78:1 short throw ML1080ST is particularly interesting for integrators, as it can cast an up-to 100-inch image from just over 1.5 metres making it a storing choice for entertainment spaces and smaller meeting rooms.
Weighing just 1kg, both the Optoma ML1080 and ML1080ST are equipped with Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology, with automatic geometric and focus correction. The models also come with an adaptor for RS-232 control.
Installers can take advantage of four-corner correction for instant place-and-play, for on-the-road professionals who require trouble-free set-up. A USB-C power input port allows the projectors to be used with PD 3.0 portable charging batteries, opening the door to outdoor use.
Built-in smart functions simplify wireless content sharing. Optoma’s Creative Cast feature allows for simultaneous image, document, and screen sharing from up to four devices on one network, while a signage mode enables instant slideshow functionality for images and videos.
Optoma says the ML1080 and ML1080ST also possess the lowest carbon footprint of any product within the Optoma portfolio and utilise 58 per cent less electricity than the b rand’s lamp-based projectors.
