Projector giant Optoma has announced a partnership with distributor AWE, in a move set to strengthen the brand’s presence in the high-performance home cinema market.

The collaboration brings Optoma’s latest 4K UHD and laser projection solutions to a wider network of specialist dealers, further aligning it with the custom install channel. As the global number one in both 4K UHD and DLP projector sales, Optoma’s addition to the AWE portfolio will bolster options for custom integrators looking to deliver big-screen experiences for residential clients.

“Optoma is very thrilled to be partnering with AWE,” said James Fitzgerald, B2C Sales Manager at Optoma. “Their state-of-the-art facilities and in-depth industry expertise make them an ideal distribution partner as we expand our reach into the premium home cinema space.”
Stuart Tickle, Managing Director at AWE, welcomed the brand to its growing portfolio of high-end AV products. “Optoma offers an excellent product range, from value-driven solutions to premium home cinema models. Their latest technologies, particularly in laser and ultra-short throw projection, bring genuine innovation to the UK market.”

This strategic alignment reflects the ongoing shift toward laser projection, as demand for lamp-based models continues to decline. For integrators, the Optoma-AWE partnership provides access to a versatile suite of display solutions that cater to both dedicated cinema rooms and multi-use living spaces.

Among the headline products now available through AWE are:

UHZ68LV: Optoma’s flagship 4K UHD projector, delivering 5000 lumens of brightness with dual-laser technology. With Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support and 95 per cent DCI-P3 colour coverage, it’s designed for premium cinema rooms. PureEngine Ultra ensures smooth motion and enhanced image quality, while installation is simplified via lens shift, 1.6x zoom and 360° projection capabilities.

UHZ66: A high-performance 4K UHD laser projector offering 4000 lumens, HDR and HLG support, and a compact footprint. Designed to suit a wide range of installation scenarios, it’s also optimised for gaming, with a 240Hz refresh rate and 4.4ms response time.

UHZ58LV (coming soon): Featuring a 3000-lumen dual-laser system and 91 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut, this 4K UHD projector includes Filmmaker Mode, HDR10+, WiSA soundsend certification and Auto Low Latency Mode for seamless gaming and streaming performance. PureEngine Ultra technology and flexible installation options are also onboard.

In addition to these flagship models, AWE will also carry a full range of short-throw and standard laser projectors, including models suited for simulators and compact AV environments.

For the custom installation trade, Optoma’s entry into AWE’s distribution ecosystem marks a timely expansion of choice in a market that continues to prioritise image quality, ease of integration, and performance-driven innovation.

With a blend of high brightness, colour precision and flexible installation options, the Optoma range looks well positioned to meet the evolving expectations of clients seeking immersive entertainment at home.
