Projection equipment specialist Xgimi has launched the Magic Lamp, a combo ceiling lamp, DLP projector and Bluetooth speaker.
The lifestyle innovation will initially only be on sale in China, priced at $1,170, but clearly its appeal is international. The Magic Lamp makes its European debut at IFA 2022.
The new lamp combines three main features into a single form factor, a ceiling lamp, projector and wireless audio speaker, that doesn't compromise interior design. The new Xgimi Magic Lamp is the third generation of this product idea. The first iteration appeared in 2018. To date, it’s sold over 200,000 units in its domestic market.
Specific details about the Magic Lamp haven't yet been released, but we do know that the Lamp employs a newly developed optical engine. Different from other short-throw/ultra-short-throw projectors, it has a ‘non-destructive’ axis shift of 32° which enables the image to be freely adjusted up and down within a range of 1 metre.
The Magic Lamp also features a built-in Harman Kardon sound system and a variety of IoT integration options.
