Going off grid doesn't mean going off air. Domestic TV brand Mitchell & Brown has launched two new smart TVs for boating, camping, and caravans. The 32-inch JB-32DVD1811ST and 24-inch JB-24DVD1811ST are built on the webOS smart platform, and offer a variety integrated streaming and catch-up TV services, including Netflix, Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, My5, and Apple TV. The screens also have both Freeview and Freesat tuners.
The Wi-Fi enabled models, based on Mitchell & Brown’s residential CU-Series Smart TVs, are 12V-powered and also come with a DVD player built-in.
Connectivity includes two HDMI ports, for media streamer and games consoles, as well as USB.There’s also a headphone jack for private listening.
Running on a direct 12V feed from a caravan/camper/boat or leisure battery or the supplied multi-voltage to DC12V adapter, both TVs have been designed to consume minimal, around 17 Watts for the 24-inch models and 25 Watts for the 32-incher.
The two models can be wall mounted using a standard 100x100 VESA mount.
The JB-32DVD1811ST and JB-24DVD1811ST are available now, and retail for £299 and £259, respectively.
