With a minimum footprint and maximum muscle, the new klang bar3 mr soundbar from German AV specialist Loewe Technology hopes to secure a space at the premium end of the soundbar market.
The 3.1 system employs seven front-firing speakers and two built-in subwoofers, and has 360 watts of amplification onboard.
It can be extended into a full 5.1 system by adding active wired speakers or wireless multiroom speakers; it works with Loewe’s range of multiroom speakers, as well as other suitably equipped brands.
A wireless 5.1 system can also be created by pairing the bar with other speakers in the Loewe klang mr series using Loewe's own latency-free Wireless Digital Audio Link (WDAL 2.0) technology.
Measuring 950 x 68 x 160mm, the manufacturer says the klang bar3 will suit 43-inch TV sets and larger, with build quality and finish commensurate with the rest of Lowe’s premium line-up.
The Loewe klang bar3 mr supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X codecs, and works with Chromecast, Apple Airplay 2, DTS Play-Fi and Loewe Wireless Digital Audiolink. Connections include three HDMI ports, one with eARC, plus an optical digital audio input.
The Loewe klang bar3 mr soundbar retails for £999.
