Dirac has expanded its room‑correction technology into NAD’s custom‑installation lineup, bringing Dirac Live Room Correction to the CI SA2‑120 BluOS Streaming Amplifier Module and CI S2 BluOS Streaming Module.
The announcement marks a significant step for those using NAD’s modular CI platform. The CI SA2‑120 and CI S2 are now certified to run Dirac Live, giving installers access to advanced optimisation tools designed to improve clarity, balance and imaging across distributed audio systems.
Dirac Live Room Correction analyses how a system interacts with its environment and applies patented magnitude‑and‑phase correction to address issues such as uneven frequency response and blurred imaging. The result is cleaner bass, more accurate tonal balance and a more cohesive soundstage.
Rikard Hellerfelt, VP and Head of Consumer Electronics at Dirac, said the expansion gives integrators “a powerful tool to unlock the full performance of distributed audio systems while creating consistently exceptional listening experiences across the home.”
NAD’s CI Modular Series is built for professional installation, with compact modules that simplify system design and expansion. The CI SA2‑120 combines high‑quality amplification with BluOS streaming in a space‑efficient form factor suitable for single‑ and dual‑zone applications. The CI S2 provides two independent BluOS zones, offering scalable multi‑room audio distribution. Both modules now benefit from Dirac Live’s ability to tailor performance to the acoustic characteristics of each room.
The wider CI Modular Series also includes the CI PA4‑60, a four‑channel power amplifier designed to support larger distributed systems. NAD’s Custom Install Product Manager, Peter Gibb, said pairing Dirac Live with the CI SA2‑120 and CI S2 helps integrators achieve “exceptional, consistent sound across a wide range of spaces and system configurations.”
Dirac Live Room Correction Full Bandwidth is available for purchase for both NAD CI modules here.
