NAD Electronics has announced that its C 700 and C 700 V2 BluOS Streaming Amplifiers have been officially certified for Dirac Live Room Correction, confirming that both models can now take full advantage of one of the most advanced room-tuning technologies available.
This certification marks a key upgrade for custom installers and integrators using NAD’s BluOS ecosystem, enabling them to deliver optimised, room-calibrated performance from compact, networked stereo systems.
Launched in 2021, the NAD C 700 is a compact all-in-one 2 x 80W streaming amplifier, housed in a rigid aluminium chassis. It features a high-resolution colour display and control via the BluOS app, allowing easy access to streaming services including Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, and Apple AirPlay 2.
The C 700 V2, which launched in 2024, builds on the original model with an ESS SABRE DAC and the addition of a phono stage.
The C 700 V2 also supports BluOS-based surround sound, ideal for media rooms.
Using sophisticated algorithms, Dirac Live adjusts the output of each speaker to achieve a smoother, more balanced response, resulting in clearer imaging and tighter bass.
Dirac Live can be enabled via an optional licence and calibrated using a compatible microphone and software. This allows installers and end users to achieve highly accurate tuning without extensive manual EQ adjustments, particularly useful in acoustically challenging rooms.
NAD Product Manager Cas Oostvogel commented: “Dirac Live Room Correction further strengthens the C 700 and C 700 V2’s position as category leaders for stereo streaming amplifiers. By enabling this leading technology, we’re offering listeners a significant upgrade in audio fidelity and tuning flexibility, further proof of NAD’s commitment to delivering high-end performance in an elegant, user-friendly package.”
The addition of Dirac Live brings NAD’s compact BluOS amplifiers into closer alignment with the company’s higher-end models, including those in the Masters Series. For integrators, it provides a new tool for achieving predictable, consistent acoustic results across varied room environments.
The BluOS platform offers full integration with third-party control systems from Control4, Crestron, and RTI.
