The versatile Lumin P1 audiophile streamer DAC preamp is now available to UK integrators through Sound Design Distribution. Designed for high-end signal processing within a two-channel stereo system, the P1 can function as a network player, Hi-Fi hub, or stereo AV system via HDMI ARC.

The P1 adopts a dual-mono input to output design, with dual Femto re-clocking oscillators, dual ES9028PRO SABRE DACs, plus a 32-bit precision volume control with LEEDH processing and a fully-balanced analogue output stage (mimicking that seen on the flagship LUMIN X1 player), fed by a dual-toroidal linear power supply.

Connectivity includes nine digital/analogue inputs. The XMOS USB input supports native DSD512 and PCM384, while optical and coaxial digital inputs, and AES inputs, support up to 192kHz 24bit data.

There are also three HDMI 2.0 inputs to handle 2.0 PCM audio decoding, with passthrough of HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS via ARC. Balanced XLR and co-axial phono input/outputs are provided to handle analogue sources.

PCM and DSD up-sampling is available for any digital input, while a dual-network interface manages switching between the P1’s Ethernet and SFP fibre ports, providing isolation from network noise.

Control over playback and settings, input selection, per-input volume memory and custom input labels is available from the LUMIN app, or via a Roon-ready handheld remote, precision-made from acrylic and zinc. There’s also support for universal remote controls and automation systems.

This means that as a network player, hi-fi hub, or 2-channel AV system via HDMI ARC, the P1 will deliver exceptional low-noise/high resolution audio purity and extraordinary value.

Available in natural or black anodised aluminium, the Lumin P1 sells for £8,495.
