Moon debuts first speakers to partner Ace music system

Canadian high-end audio manufacturer Moon has launched its first loudspeaker, the Voice 22. The new enclosure has been designed to partner the brand’s distinctive electronics, effectively allowing Moon to be offered as a complete music solution. Distribution is via Renaissance Audio.

The cabinet design adopts a classic retro aesthetic, with a 29mm soft dome tweeter and a 155mm mineral-filled polypropylene cone. The speaker is available in either black or white piano gloss finishes with matching magnetic cloth grilles.

We’re told: “The Voice 22 is a true partner for Moon amplifiers and will also bring out the best from other audio manufacturers’ systems. The new loudspeaker delivers the renowned rich and natural Moon sonic signature, and its wide soundstage gives the space to allow every small detail to flourish and for the deep, clean bass to expand.”

The Hover Base is a unique feature created just for Voice 22. It makes the enclosure appear to float above the surface on which it is positioned, reducing the chance of any furniture marks. If the listening room requires the speakers to be placed on stands, the Hover Base can be removed, and the speakers fitted to the custom-made Stand 22. The top plate fits flush into the recessed area in the bottom of the speaker enclosure, for an uncluttered appearance.

Renaissance suggests the Moon Ace all-in-one music system is the ideal match for a pair of Voice 22s. Users need only hook up the speakers, and connect the system to the internet. Connectivity options include Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and AirPlay2. The system is also Roon Ready, and allows the playback of all major file formats, including DSD, and MQA. There’s also a moving magnet phono stage for vinyl record enthusiasts.

The Voice 22 sells for £2,650 a pair. Bundled with an Ace music system, the package price is £5,700, until the 31st of July. The custom stands are £495 for a pair.
