Monitor Audio has announced a new subwoofer range. The all-new Vestra series extends the brand's subwoofer offering within the home AV and custom installation space, enabling broader speaker/system-matching options and wider flexibility regarding budget.
Comprising three models, the Vestra W10, W12, and W15, the range is tailored to complement entry- and mid-tier speaker systems.
The Vestra series arrives with a clean, minimalist design in matte black or white finishes. The W10 and W12 models are sealed for versatile placement, while the W15 opts for a ported design to extend low-frequency performance, catering to installations demanding maximum impact.
Central to the Vestra range is Monitor Audio’s long-standing expertise in C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium) driver technology. The high-linear excursion C-CAM cones, used across all three models, offers improved durability, reduced distortion, and enhanced responsiveness compared to traditional aluminium alternatives.
The W12 and W15 models benefit further from triple suspension systems and upgraded voice coils made from high-purity copper.
Amplification is handled by efficient Class-D modules: 250 watts for the W10, and 500 watts for the W12 and W15. Each amplifier is matched precisely to its driver, ensuring minimal distortion and maximum efficiency.
Connectivity options include unbalanced stereo RCA inputs, LFE RCA, and a 12V trigger for integration with control systems. Three DSP pre-set modes further allow installers to tailor output for specific room placements or client preferences, a nod to the growing demand for adaptable solutions in custom AV environments.
All Vestra models are housed in 15mm MDF cabinets with internal bracing for rigidity and resonance control, with 21mm matte-finished front baffles.
The Vestra W10, W12 and W15 are poriced at £600 , £750 and £900 respectively.
