Low cost Shelly smart camera protects homes and offices

Smart home specialist Shelly has introduced a compact indoor video camera built to integrate directly with the wider Shelly ecosystem. It delivers Full HD 1080p video with a 110‑degree horizontal and 70‑degree vertical field of view, offering broad room coverage from a single unit. Black‑and‑white night vision maintains clarity in low‑light conditions, while dual‑band Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth simplify setup.

Typical applications include homes, offices, retail spaces and small commercial environments.

The Shelly camera supports MQTT, WebSocket and WebRTC, and integrates with platforms including Home Assistant, Frigate NVR, Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Samsung SmartThings.

Shelly has focused on automation as much as monitoring. Motion detection can trigger local routines without requiring a cloud subscription, allowing the camera to activate lighting, relays or other Shelly devices instantly.

For those who want more advanced analysis, Shelly Cloud adds object detection capable of distinguishing between people, pets and vehicles. The camera also supports local AI models, enabling advanced users to run their own automation logic on compatible hardware.
Storage is flexible: footage can be viewed live, recorded locally to a microSD card or stored in the cloud through optional subscription plans. Three months of Shelly Cloud access is included with every purchase.
